Locking Blocks

A plugin called LockettePro is used to provide portable security features in Legitimus.  You don’t need any special tools for this feature; only a wooden sign is required for locking.  This can be useful for locking private chests in claims where you have already provided container access, or within areas where you have no claim at all.  They’re even protected from explosions, and ours do not expire.

To use this feature, first enable it in your menu.  Apply the wooden sign to the item you are locking while holding sneak.  You should see the sign automatically read [Private] on the first line, with your username displayed on the second.  If you use your menu to disable the Lockette feature later on, you can continue placing regular signs on chests without interference.

It should be noted that this feature will only work in the main world, Legitimus.  If players travel to other worlds, there are no rules to protect their chests from being raided.

If you need to edit a sign, simply right click the sign and use the following command:

/lock edit <line number to edit> <new text>

Adding [Timer:#] to a door can be a useful trick, as well as using the “everyone” keyword.

Adding extra signs to a block can enable the “more users” keyword, allowing for a longer list.

Blocks which can be subject to locking on Smellycraft include:

  • Chests
  • Trapped Chests
  • All Doors
  • All Trapdoors
  • Furnaces
  • Hoppers
  • Droppers
  • Dispensers
  • Beacons
  • Brewing Stands
  • Jukeboxes
